A LITTLE ABOUT ENSIGN MOTIFS…
Past
Ensign Motifs is probably the only company that started life beneath the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Chris Feeney and Tony Page previously worked together in the Royal Navy when they were serving on board the Polaris Submarine, HMS Resolution. In 1980 they started a small operation offering garments and souvenirs to their shipmates. As word spread, they received an increasing number of requests from other ships and submarines who also wanted their own items produced. Five years later, Chris and Tony retired to concentrate on developing their fast expanding business. The rest, as they say, is history.
Present
For over thirty years, Ensign Motifs have been supplying high quality, personalised items to companies, the armed forces, clubs, schools and colleges. They are now widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading embroidery and promotional garment suppliers.
The Argyll based company, consisting of almost 30 design, embroidery and other specialists, continue to thrive and build on their excellent reputation within the promotional garment industry. Ensign Motifs ethos is based on meeting customers’ diverse requirements by providing the personalised products at a cost-effective price, when they need them and wherever they are in the world.

The Ensign Team
CHRIS & TONY - are always on hand to chat with customers and discuss individual’s requirements. Sales enquiries are normally handled by Chris, whilst Tony handles accounting and general administration topics.
PRODUCTION
JULIE - Manages and co-ordinates all embroidery production, including receipt and despatch of all embroidered orders within the factory. Julie also liaises with our commission embroidery customers to arrange timely deliveries and ensuring deadlines are met.
DOT- Administers embroidered designs and credit control. She will also submit competitive quotations and estimates for orders and contracts of all sizes.
ADMINISTRATION & ORDER PROCESSING
LYNN - Heads our Admin and Order Processing team, handling customers orders, queries and new sales enquiries.
DIGITISING, DESIGN & ARTWORK
DAREN - Tony's son, Daren is our ‘printing’ expert, with a wealth of experience. He co-ordinates customer’s PRINTING needs and will offer advice to achieve the best effect for printing on to garments, workwear, mugs, laser and other promotional items.
CLAIRE and SHUICHI - Are amongst the finest embroidered motif designers in the UK. They create stunning full colour ‘pictures in thread’ using the very latest software and design techniques. See GALLERY for examples of their work - including our own embroidered “Mona Lisa”.
